The purpose of this blog is to chronicle my experience with the (extremely limited) options to find relief from debilitating pain with the use of "medical cannabis," which is the CORRECT TERM.
Of course, this entire process put into effect by New York State:
1) Cant be easy. There are so many hoops that one must jump through to find relief because, in their efforts to "control medical marijuana distribution," -- which I am convinced is code for "control distribution until every politician with his hand in the till can ensure he gets his cut" and "control distribution until Big Pharma can figure out how to get their hands on the profits" -- it is incredibly expensive, inconvenient to obtain, and damned near impossible to figure out what you actually need since no one in charge can really TELL you anything;
2) Shady as sh-t! As I will describe later, some of my experiences have been less professional than those days when a person walked to the back of the dinky candy store to shove some money through a hole in the wall to receive a manila packet with weed in it; and
3) Is NOT designed to actually make relief or intelligent research possible. It's almost as if this entire system has been designed to FAIL.
When I return to this blog, I will have visited a second "dispensary" company's location to be able to compare the experience to one of only 5 other dispensary companies permitted in New York State!
Please stay tuned... Do we even say that anymore?
